Sparkle Season

‘Tis the season for eye-dazzling displays. This week, we’re featuring some of our favorites:

Vessels festooned like bedazzled Las Vegas showgirls in the Dana Point Boat Parade.

Monarch Bay’s Moreton bay fig tree, its well-trimmed trunks enrobed with points of light, transforms into a botanical fantasy.

And a halo of old-school lights paints the Orange Inn’s bungalow with a different hue.

Enjoy the fleeting show. To appropriate a phrase from a poem currently in circulation, in a twinkling they will all fly away like the down on a thistle.
